listening to Nala Sinephro while doing too much
do you feel it? that's Virgo season in full swing.
Currently, the chorus of ‘Gypsy Woman’ is playing in the background of my head as I juggle the 17 different tasks I wanted to get done this week. Sometimes when you have too much on your plate, all you can really say is “la-da-dee-la-dee-da” and relinquish control.
That being said - this is a brief newsletter to announce that for the next month and change, I unfortunately won’t be cranking out my usual full-fledged, think pieces like I have for the past few months. For the purposes of avoiding burnout, prioritizing sleep, and making sure I produce quality work, I’ve decided to bring down the notch of this metaphorical step master from a sweaty and swift 10 down to an aerobic 4.
Fret not, your favorite ferocious design blogger shall soon return. For now, an era of rest and relaxation is required as I enter a maelstrom of work, travel, and side hustles! My Heavens! I suppose she might have girl bossed a little too close to the sun.
Actually, work is pretty manageable at the moment. It’s everything else in my life that’s ramping up. I’m currently back in Connecticut visiting my parents and will be in NYC next week. In the meantime, I’m thinking of shooting out some smaller newsletters when I can that are more visual updates of my life or quick lists of design things I enjoyed reading / seeing / or recommend.
On today’s playlist, I have Nala Sinephro’s ‘Endlessness’ on repeat. It’s a gorgeous 45 minute and 23 second ambient jazz album that is perfect for playing in the background while you focus on a task or listening to during a contemplative autumnal walk.
Lastly, for those who have been clinging to the edge of their seats since my last post - don’t worry - I’m still working on Part 2 of ‘President Campaign Logos of Past and Present.'
But until then - hasta pronto mis amigos :)
